Gearing your new 85

Okay, I know if any of you are anything like me, once you get an alt or something to the level cap you have a hard time gearing and/or getting started. First, you should check your class forums to see  what you should be stacking for your specific spec. Heres the link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/.

Now I just got my alt hunter to 85 about a week ago. I haven't been playing as much as I would like but, hes decently geared for being a week at the level cap. (Note: on this character it took a little over 1.5k gold to get the enchants/gems PvP blues flasks and food) I think I might be forgetting something in that note but.... Anyways, after getting what you need, try and find a guild that is aimed at what you want to do. (If necessary) some things to look at when trying to find a guild consist of: Raiding schedule which is VERY essential in finding a guild that suits you, community - who wants to be in a guild where you hate everyones guts? And last but not least leadership, coming from a former raid/guild leader this is really important. If your in a guild that is lacking leadership, progression will slow and stress/frustration will set in. And we all know WoW can be stressful, but if its avoidable why get yourself wrapped up in it? Continuing on, for a couple weeks all your going to be doing is heroics, heroics and guess what? More heroics. And I HIGHLY suggest getting a group of 5 from the guild your in to avoid "baddies" and just make the experience a bit more tolerable. Until Ilvl 346 or so.If you haven't done so already, it would be a good idea to max out two professions for the stat bonus. Trust me, you will see a difference in your DPS, tanking or healing. For example, on my hunter I didn't level my professions as I quested so I had to go do that before I did anything else. I leveled Skinning and mining which give Crit rating and stam. From this point on you can get into most pugs and guild raids such as BWD. Enjoy your new 85 and remember to have fun!
